INDIA, September 19th – Universiti Teknologi Mara participated in an international study abroad education exposition between the 15th and 17th of September 2023. The delegation was led by Sr. Dr. Siti Mazzuana Shamsuddin, Head of Graduate Studies (Academic Development, Resources & Students) at IPSis, and accompanied by Associate Professor Dr. Sheila Belayutham, Head of Postgraduate Studies at the College of Engineering.
The purpose of the delegation’s visit to six cities in India, namely Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, and Cochin, was to present the postgraduate studies opportunities available at UiTM and promote the university. During the exposition, the delegation was privileged to meet with various officials, including the Consulate General of Malaysia, Chennai, Mr. Saravana Kumar Kumaravasagam (Consul General), Miss Mai Sarah Elisa Binti Meor Rosele (Vice Consul-Head of Chancery, and Miss Sangeeta a/p Balachanthra (Vice Consul-Education & Training.
Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
The delegation also visited B.M.S. College of Engineering in Bangalore, where they met with Dr. S. Muralidhara (Principal), Dr. Suresh Ramaswwamyreddy (Vice Principal), and Dr. H.S.Jagadeesh (Director of International Studies). The event was an excellent opportunity for UiTM to exhibit its academic excellence and attract potential students from India. Furthermore, the delegation’s visit strengthened ties with Indian officials and promoted educational collaborations between UiTM and Indian institutions, demonstrating the university’s commitment to fostering international partnerships.
