MASTER OF SCIENCE (CIVIL ENGINEERING)
Synopsis
To work on research projects at a mastery level related to civil engineering specialised areas, which include Structural and Material Engineering, Water Resources and Environmental Engineering, Construction Business and Project Management, Geotechnical Engineering and Highway Engineering. The research can expand past work in the specialised field, which could be used to develop further knowledge for advancing human knowledge in civil engineering-related areas.
PEO1: Civil engineering specialist who have advanced knowledge with practical skills capable of using advanced numeracy and technical skills in meeting local and global demands with novelty.
- Explain and analyse advanced knowledge in management and multidisciplinary engineering areas (1)
- Assess numerical data related to engineering practises by integrating critical thinking and computational skills (2)
- Perform practical skills using appropriate digital tools and techniques in solving relevant current engineering problems (3)
- Select and use suitable digital and analytical techniques to research problems (7)
PEO2: Civil engineering specialist who integrate communication and interpersonal skills using advanced digital technologies when engaging individual research with relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate cogently in the field/s and interact with specialist and general audience (6)
PEO3: Civil engineering specialist who display personal skill with entrepreneurial mindset in elevating the quality of life.

Entry Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from UiTM in a related and appropriate area of specialisation with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from other recognised universities approved by UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
- A candidate applying for this program must submit a research proposal to the school. The acceptance of a candidate shall be at the discretion of the UiTM Senate, whose decision shall be final.
