MASTER OF SCIENCE (CHEMICAL ENGINEERING)
Synopsis
The master’s program is research-based, whereby the award of an MSc degree upon completion of the research project is carried out with close supervision by qualified academics. The school has qualified scholars with diverse areas of expertise, such as energy, biotechnology, material and particle engineering, modelling and simulation, oil and gas engineering, environmental and safety engineering, and process engineering. They have chances to familiarise themselves with current tools and technologies used by chemical engineers and researchers. Students must defend their research proposal upon completing the research methodology course. Students enrolling in this program can advance their studies to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program by converting from MSc to PhD.
- Explain and analyse advanced knowledge in management and multidisciplinary engineering areas (1)
- Assess numerical data related to engineering practises by integrating critical thinking and computational skills (2)
- Perform practical skills using appropriate digital tools and techniques in solving relevant current engineering problems (3)

Entry Requirement
- Bachelor of Science (Hons.) from UiTM in a related and appropriate area of specialisation with a minimum CGPA of 2.75; OR
- Bachelor’s degree or it’s equivalent from other recognised universities approved by UiTM with a minimum CGPA of 2.75
- A candidate applying for this program must submit a research proposal to the school. The acceptance of a candidate shall be at the discretion of the UiTM Senate, whose decision shall be final.
